The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is organizing a competition on data visualization (IAEA Data Visualization Challenge) in conjunction with the International Conference on Climate Change and the Role of Nuclear Power (7–11 October 2019, Vienna, Austria). Applicants are expected to submit a creative and analytical visualization of the role of nuclear power in combatting climate change.
For this competition, data visualization is defined as the visual representation of data that effectively communicates information. The best data visualizations rely on less text and are intuitively designed. Acceptable submission formats include, but are not limited to, interactive data visuals, posters, apps, videos, etc. Submissions can be interactive, dynamic, or static.
IAEA expecting to receive submissions (to be sent on email address visualize.atoms4climate@iaea.org) by 15 July 2019 and announce winners in mid-August. The reward for winners will be the paid trip to Vienna plus stipend to cover living costs to present their findings during the conference.
