The 4th Consortium Meeting of the CUES project was held from 9 to 11 September at the premises of Banco Alimentar Contra a Fome in Lisbon. The project, led at our faculty by Prof. Marina Dabić, PhD, brought together partners from across Europe for three days of discussions on project results, progress review, and planning of the next steps.
On the final day of the meeting, representatives of three football clubs - Sheffield United (United Kingdom), Real Betis Balompié (Spain), and Ilves (Finland) - joined the discussions within the intervention case aimed at driving sustainable food transition in communities, coordinated by our partner ICLEI. We were also pleased to welcome in person three members of the Advisory Board, with whom we explored opportunities to position sustainable consumption as one of the key pillars of Europe’s competitiveness.
Key highlights included:
- presentation of new research findings on consumer perceptions, attitudes, and behaviours toward sustainable food choices,
- updates on the progress of co-creation in the nine intervention cases, now moving into the implementation phase,
- an Advisory Board meeting that brought together policymakers, public authorities, and experts to co-design solutions, gather feedback, and identify policy gaps and opportunities.
We extend our gratitude to all partners for their dedication and active participation, and to Banco Alimentar Contra a Fome for their warm hospitality and the inspiring opportunity to contribute to their work supporting hundreds of charities every day.
