Organizational profile
Department of Trade and International Business comprises of a thriving and dynamic community of faculty and researchers. We offer bachelor's, master's and postgraduate degrees in Croatian and English that are internationally comparable in terms of quality, innovation and topicality. Our students acquire specialised knowledge and skills necessary for original thinking and excellence in business administration and entrepreneurship. Our key research and teaching areas are: Retail and Distribution Management, International Trade. Commodity Trading, Quality Management, Consumer Policy, Supply Chain Management and other related disciplines such as Transport and Insurance.
Markets evolve faster than science and know-how. For this reason, one of the central aims of our research is to provide the latest tools, techniques and cutting-edge thinking for managing and exploring this ever-changing landscape. This endeavour is driven by rigorous and ambitious research activities and a vibrant network of visiting professors and managers, as well as various national and international research projects, collaborating with academics and institutions in Croatia, neighbouring countries and worldwide.

Master Degree in Business (MDiB)
Trade and International Business is a 1-year university degree programme taught entirely in English (60 ECTS). The programme offers the latest academic, professional and practical achievements in the fields of trade economics, retail and wholesale management and commodity exchanges + electives. Candidates will be qualified (EQF level 7) to run various trading businesses by utilising modern technological tools and management methods. Coordinator is professor Sanda Soucie (office B402)

Journal and International Conference
  • We edit and publish the scientific journal Poslovna izvrsnost - Business Excellence.
  • For 15 years, the Department has been hosting and organizes the international scientific conference TRADE PERSPECTIVES every year in November at the Faculty. The co-organizer is the Croatian Chamber of Economy-Croatian Chamber of Commerce. The result is a collection of papers in English.
