Swedish Day event held at the Faculty of Economics and Business - Zagreb

In cooperation with the Embassy of Sweden, on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, Swedish Day was held at the Faculty of Economics and Business - Zagreb.
The  welcoming speeches held by the dean Dr. Sanja Sever Mališ and the ambassador H. E. Diane Helen Madunic were accompanied by a rich program with participation of seven Swedish companies - AstraZeneca, Bjelin, Ericsson Nikola Tesla, Foreo, IKEA, Securitas and SKF.

A panel was held with representatives of Bjelin, Foreo, Ericsson Nikola Tesla and IKEA, through which students could learn more about Swedish business culture and the way Swedish companies work. The panel was followed by FIKA - a traditional Swedish break for coffee and cakes, where students had the opportunity to network with Swedish companies.

The second part of the event consisted of a lecture by Emma Bäcke from Vinnova Innovation Agency who explained to students how to create a system in which innovation can succeed, followed by a presentation from a  Swedish student
Hannah Henriksson who shared her own experience of studying in Sweden with our students.

Along with the event, three special exhibitions were set up:
• The Viking Age (Immortalized women, Women queens in new kingdoms, Female Viking warriors, Enchantresses, Housewives - head of the household, Invisible people, Goddesses - women in mythology)
• Hej, we are Sweden!
• Ingmar Bergman

Students were especially attracted to the Formula One car exhibited by the Swedish company SKF.

The event was attended by more than 450 students of the Faculty of Economics and Business - Zagreb.
