Exhibition “Slovak Republic” within the project “EU countries in the lens of education”

The Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb is strategically oriented towards the internationalization of its study programs and has become a centre of economic and business education for students from various countries of the European Union and beyond through its accredited programs.
In order to provide domestic and international students and other members of the academic community with the opportunity to educate themselves about the similarities and differences between the countries of the European Union, the idea arose to launch the project “EU countries in the lens of education”.
 

The initiator of the project is the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb, which will organize a series of exhibitions on cultural, educational, economic and other important aspects that characterize each country, in cooperation with the embassies of EU member states.
The project is implemented with the support of the Representation of the European Commission in Croatia.
The organization of exhibitions is carried out by the Library and Documentation Centre (LDC) and the European Documentation Centre (EDC-LDC) of the Faculty of Economics - Zagreb.
 

The exhibitions will be open to the public in the premises of LDC and EDC, and upon completion of the physical presentation will be available as virtual exhibitions through the official website and social networks of organizers and partners.
 

In cooperation with the Embassy of the Slovak Republic, the first poster exhibition entitled "Slovak Republic" was officially opened on Wednesday, December 15, at the Library and Documentation Center. The exhibition presents the natural beauty, architecture, literature, history and technological development of this European country. On this occasion, the students were addressed by the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Croatia NJ. E. Peter Suska, Dean prof. dr. sc. Jurica Pavičić and Vice Dean Assoc. dr. sc. Kosjenka Dumančić, and the moderator of the event was the head of EDC-KDC Zrinka Udiljak Bugarinovski, univ. spec. oec. After an introductory speech and traditional ribbon cutting, the exhibition was inaugurated, and then the Ambassador answered students' questions about education, gastronomy, economic development and life in the Slovak Republic.


The exhibition will be open to the public until January 14, 2022 and will be available in a virtual form afterwards.
