International scientific conference Virtual International Conference on Library and Information Science - VICLIS 2022

The 2nd international scientific conference "Virtual International Conference on Library and Information Science (VICLIS 2022)“ was held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. The Conference was held in a virtual environment via the Zoom Webinars platform, and the topic of the conference was "Libraries as motors of change for achieving sustainable development goals in 2030".
 

The organizer of the conference was the Sri Lanka Technological Campus, and the partners of the conference are: the Committee of the UN Sri Lanka/ALA/IFLA Regional Section for Asia and Oceania, the Regional Section of IFLA (International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions) for Asia and Oceania, International Relations Office of the American Library Association, University of Zagreb - Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Bari - Aldo Moro Italy, Hellenic Open University - Greece, National Library of Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka Library Association.
 

Over 100 presentations from more than 12 countries worldwide were held at the Conference, and the presentations were divided into blocks of 7 parallel sessions. The Conference presented very interesting projects, programs and research related to the support of the library community (professional and scientific) in the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and was attended by a large number of participants from all over the world.
 

The Library of the Faculty of Economics and Business - Zagreb participated in the organization of the 2nd Virtual International Conference on Library and Information Science - VICLIS 2022. The Head of Library Zrinka Udiljak Bugarinovski was co-chair of the Conference, and Marija Šimunović was a member of the VICLIS Steering Committee.
