Josip Mikulić has received several awards for his work, among others twice the National science award, an Emerald emerging researcher award, and several faculty awards for scientific excellence and productivity. According to the Croatian Scientific Bibliography (CROSBI), in recent years he is one of the most productive and cited researchers in the field of Economics and Business and the wider Social Sciences in Croatia. He has served as ad-hoc reviewer for more than 50 journals; he is a member of several editorial boards, Past Associate Editor of Tourism Management Perspectives, and Editor-in-Chief of Tourism: An International Interdisciplinary Journal, the second oldest tourism journal in the world.

Biography
Josip Mikulić is a professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business - Zagreb, serving as head of the tourism department since 2016-2022. He is also a scientific advisor at the Institute for tourism in Zagreb. He has published more than 60 articles in peer-reviewed journals mainly in the fields of tourism management, marketing, and economics.
