Selection of mandatory foreign language courses

University studies
On enrolment into first year of Integrated undergraduate and graduate university studies in Business Economics or Integrated undergraduate and graduate university studies in Economics the students may elect one of the two offered mandatory foreign language courses:

a) Business English 1
The required level of English language proficiency for passing the Business English 1 course is B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
  
b) Business German 1       
The satisfactory level of German language mastery for enrolment on Business German 1 is A2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, or the equivalent of four years of studying German at the secondary school level.
The required literature for the course Business German 1 is the textbook entitled Business German 1 by Čičin-Šain Buljan M. Kosanović J., Štampalija A. Zagreb (2013), and is available on loan at FEB’s library, or for purchase at FEB’s bookshop.
 
Professional studies
On enrolment into summer semester of the first year, Undergraduate professional studies in Business Economics the students are required to take two mandatory business language courses choosing one of the three options:
a) English for Business 1 and German for Business 1
b) English for Business 1 and Elementary German for Business 1
c) German for Business 1 and Elementary English for Business 1

 
English for Business 1  
The required level of English language proficiency for passing the English for Business 1 course is B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Elementary English for Business 1  
The required English language proficiency for passing the Elementary English for Business 1 is A1-A2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
 
German for Business 1
The satisfactory level of German language mastery for enrolling on German for Business 1 course is A2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, or the equivalent of four years of studying German at the secondary school level.
 
Elementary German for Business 1
There are no language proficiency requirements for selecting the course in Elementary German for Business 1.
