In July of 2019, the Accreditation of the AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) the world's oldest global accreditation body for higher education institutions in the field of business economics, was officially conferred to the Faculty of Economics and Business. On the occasion of awarding AACSB accreditation, Prof. Jurica Pavičić, PhD, the Dean of the Faculty pointed out that "The Faculty of Economics and Business - Zagreb has, for almost 100 years, strongly influenced the build-up and shaping of the national and wider regional economies and economic policy. The AACSB accreditation is awarded as confirmation of the quality of the Faculty's work and influence, which will further strengthen the role and importance of the Faculty in the national, regional and European educational and economic context."

- high quality of work and commitment of the Faculty, transmitted into a strong mission, vision and strategy of the Faculty development;
- quality of the educational process and excellent study experience;
- excellent students who acquire superior competencies and career development skills in the domestic and international business environment;
- competent teachers who have excellent results in scientific research and its application in business and development practice;
- internationalization of the Faculty based on 6 study programs in English, cooperation agreements with about 140 foreign scientific institutions and professional organizations, a large number of foreign students and a multicultural study experience; and
- a strong impact on the economy and the wider community.
The importance of the strategic focus of the Faculty of Economics & Business - Zagreb to build the future and innovation on an exceptional tradition and a strong alumni network, relying on the exceptional staff dedicated to the well-being of the Faculty and all stakeholders, was particularly emphasized. AACSB accreditors have confirmed that all of the above makes a big difference nationally and increasingly regionally and internationally, which places the Zagreb Faculty of Economics & Business among the best institutions in the world according to this objective and globally relevant external evaluation.
This accreditation is particularly significant because the Faculty of Economics and Business - Zagreb is the only university higher education institution in the Republic of Croatia that has been awarded AACSB accreditation that accredits the entire institution, along with the international EPAS accreditation, which for its internationally recognized university study program in English "Bachelor Degree in Business" was the Faculty of Economics & Business - Zagreb awarded in 2011. Concerning the Faculty of Economics and Business - Zagreb, as Ms. Stephanie M. Bryant, the Executive Vice President and Director of Accreditation, emphasized "the school’s dedication—not only to their students, alumni network, and greater business community but to the higher education industry as a whole."
AACSB accreditation recognizes the extraordinary efforts that the Faculty of Economics & Business - Zagreb has been making for many years, and in order to provide relevant research contribution and quality education, thus contributing to the economic development of the country and the region through its teaching and scientific work.
