Prof. Zoran Jašić, Ph.D., former Minister of Finance of the Republic of Croatia, Ambassador, and longtime professor at the Faculty of Economics & Business in Zagreb, died on October 25, 2021, at the age of 83. Professor Jašić was one of the most prominent members of the Department of Finance, who during his life dealt mostly with current topics in the field of public finance. As he spent most of his professional career in diplomacy, he gladly shared his rich experience with students, who highly appreciated him and attended his extremely interesting and always proactive lectures in large numbers. For his scientific contribution, Prof. Jašić received the Mijo Mirković Award; the Order of Prince Branimir for his contribution to the diplomatic service; the Blaž Lorković Award for his contribution to the development of the Croatian economy, and the German President's award for shaping friendly relations between Croatia and Germany. We will keep our esteemed and dear colleague, a prominent economist, and member of the Department of Finance, in our lasting memory.
