On May 10, 2018, at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Zagreb, with the high patronage of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Ms. Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, will be held "5. Conference on Competition Law and Policy in the Memory of Vedrana Šoljana, Ph. D.: Implementing Priorities and New Challenges ".
The conference is organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Zagreb in cooperation with the Competition Agency, Croatian Association of Law and Competition Policy (HDPPTN, in founding), and the European Documentation Center FEB (EDC-KDC), supported by the Croatian Employers Association and the Croatian Economic chamber.
This traditional annual conference is intended for lawyers, judges and other judicial staff, corporate lawyers, entrepreneurs, public and public administration employees, and the academic sector in Croatia and the wider region.
The aim of this international interdisciplinary scientific and professional conference is to exchange knowledge and experience on applying competition rules in both the European and the Croatian context.
The conference is held in memory of Vedran Šoljan, Ph. D. (1962-2008), author of the prestigious monograph "The Governing Position on the Market and its Abuse in the Competition Law of the European Community", a former member of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Zagreb and member of the former Consumer Protection Council.
