The first week of July, when a good part of the academic obligations are coming to an end, and the summer is not yet in full swing, is the ideal time for the program designed by the Faculty of Economics & Business in Zagreb and the Department of Economics and Business Economics of the University of Dubrovnik.
From July 4 to 9, the first joint FEB - UNIDU Summer Business Academy took place in Dubrovnik.
The Summer Business Academy (SBA) is a lifelong education program intended for participants from the country and abroad, which offers the possibility of acquiring additional 5 ECTS credits for extracurricular activities.
During the five days of the first Summer Business Academy, workshops were held in English in three areas: data analytics, emerging innovations, and sustainability challenges. The participants chose three workshops: Neuromarketing, Digital transformation and digital business models, and Sustainable start-ups and entrepreneurship, where the emphasis was on acquiring practical knowledge. The workshops were conducted by professors and experts from the Faculty of Economics & Business in Zagreb, the Department of Economics and Business Economics of the University of Dubrovnik, and Hochschule Trier in Germany.
The goal of the Summer Business Academy is to provide participants with additional education beyond the classical framework of the curriculum. This year, among our participants, were students of economics, doctoral students, and graduate economists who shared a common desire to acquire new knowledge and improve their skills. After the working part, the participants used the afternoon to get to know the city with guidance and enjoyed the facilities that Dubrovnik offers. On the last day, a festive dinner was organized for participants and lecturers.
Use the beginning of July to improve and grow and join new and old students at the Summer Business Academy.
