The book “Enterprise Risk Management: Theory and Practice with Selected Case Studies of Multinational Companies” has been published

A new book, "Enterprise Risk Management: Theory and Practice with Selected Case Studies of Multinational Companies" was published by the Faculty of Economics & Business in December. The authors of the book are teachers of the Department of Business Economics Prof. Danijela Miloš Sprčić, Ph.D., Associate Professor Davor Zoričić, Ph.D., Mr. Andrija Sabol, Ph.D., Ms. Ena Pecina, Ph.D., and Ms. Ivana Dvorski Lacković from the Faculty of Organization and Informatics, alumni of the faculty Mr. Luka Štambuk and Ms. Klara Bedeković, and 20 students of the Integrated University Study of Business Economics. The book reviewers are Prof. Silvije Orsag, Ph.D., and Prof. Darja Peljhan, Ph.D., from the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana. The book represents the joint contribution of teachers, students, and alumni to the development of the FEB ZG, the Department of Business Economics, and the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Faculty of Economics & Business.

The book consists of theoretical and complex methodological chapters and presentations of business cases of the business analysis, financial position and identification, as well as risk management of multinational companies Tesla, Amazon, Atlantic Grupa, and VW, which were developed using the Enterprise Risk Management methodology through the application of knowledge and skills acquired through the course Management risks. The book is the result of many years of application of student-centered pedagogy at the Department of Business Economics. The approach developed at Yale University  - The Yale Raw Case Approach - was used to create business cases. The approach is compatible with interdisciplinary research where students learn how to integrate knowledge and information obtained from data analysis to solve complex problems. According to the reviewers, the book has the characteristics of a scientific book and textbook and is intended for students and professionals who specialize in risk management, but also for managers who want to improve business risk management systems in organizations.

The book presents the joint contribution of teachers, students, and alumni to the development of the FEB ZG, the Department of Business Economics, as well as to the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Faculty of Economics.
