The student association Center for Youth Development is organizing a project called Marathon of the Careers.
Namely, it is a set of lectures and workshops that seek to bring together experts and successful people from different fields to make students aware of the opportunities and potentials they can achieve after graduation. Therefore, the idea is for the lecturers to return to the faculty from which they started in the business world and present their path to students "from faculty to career and back", as the motto of the event reads.
The Marathon of the Careers was successfully held for three years in a row at various faculties. Besides the Marathon of the Careers, the association is known for numerous other projects, such as the Studentski.hr portal, the student competition "Promotor", the conference "Read, Ask... " and many others.
The first guest at the lecture, which is being held as part of the Career Marathon project, is a former student of the Faculty of Economics & Business in Zagreb - Mr. Ivo Sluganović. The lecture is scheduled for May 20, 2021, at 7:00 p.m., and would be held online.
Namely, our lecturer never completed the study in economics, because he dedicated himself to studying at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, but it is still a big part of his interest. He has achieved a lot since his studies and is now the proud owner of the company. Through the lecture, Mr. Sluganović will present employment opportunities in the highly sought-after IT sector. Also, his goal is to encourage students to dare to work during their studies, whether volunteering or some other type, to pave the way for the future.
