Biography
Kristina Bučar is a Professor and head of the Department of Tourism of the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Zagreb, Croatia. She graduated from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Zagreb and received her doctorate from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zagreb. She has done two study visits abroad: at the Wirtschaftsuniversität in Wien (Austria) and the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, Lille 2, Lille, France.Her research is primarily focused on tourism planning, tourism and environment, ecolabeling in tourism, tourism planning, and social responsibilities in tourism, sports tourism.. She publishes academic articles and book chapters on topics closely related to the challenges of sustainable tourism development and holds several courses on all levels of study as Tourism Principles, Tourism Geography, Management of Tourism and Environment and Resource Management in sustainable tourism development.
Kristina Bučar is a member of the editorial board of the interdisciplinary scientific journal International Journal of Sustainable Development Research and she has been member of the scientific committee of a number of scientific international conferences. She is one of the founders and a member of IRNIST - the International Research Network In Sport Tourism.
