On the occasion of the World Money Week at the Faculty of Economics, on March 25, 2019, the promotion of the book Financial Literacy and Responsible Spending in Everyday Life of the authors Assist. Prof. Dajana Barbić, PhD and Assist. Prof. Andrea Lučić took place, and was followed by the panel on the same subject.
Audience was addressed by Assoc. Prof. Sanja Sever Mališ, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Economics & Business and Mr. Zlatko Hodak, PhD, CEO of Narodne novine, while the reviewers Prof. Marijana Ivanov, PhD, Prof. Marija Tomašević Lišanin, PhD and Mr. Predrag Bejaković, PhD, as well as authors Assist. Prof. Dajana Barbić, PhD and Assist. Prof. Andrea Lučić, PhD, were speaking about the book.
The promotion was followed by a panel where Deputy Governors of the CNB Mr. Bojan Fras and Mr. Roman Šubić, Mr. Damir Grbavac, Chairman of the Raiffeisen Pension Company Management Board, Ms. Dijana Bojčeta Markoja, Director of Association of Pension Fund Management Companies and Pension Insurance Companies - UMFO, Mr. Dražen Klarić, Editor-in-Chief of Večernji list and Mr. Ante Žigman, president of the HANFA Management Council discussed on the same issue.

The purpose of this book is to acquaint the audience with basic knowledge of financial literacy and responsible spending. The book stems from a joint effort of the authors, that the subject of financial literacy bring closer to the average citizen who meets the various challenges in the process of responsible and successful personal finance management on a daily basis. It is important to emphasize that this is a work that has come as a result of many years of scientific and professional work, but also the experience gained during active field work and the maintenance of a large number of financial literacy workshops for citizens in the Republic of Croatia.
The book in its own right, serves as a guide for understanding the irrationality of human behavior with money, cognitive mistakes and mistakes, and for getting acquainted with responsible consumer behavior as well as making purchasing decisions, creating a detailed financial plan, and as a guide for a better understanding of many financial issues from everyday life.
