Biography
Vanja Krajinović is an Associate Professor at the Department of Tourism, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb. She received her PhD from the University of Zagreb in 2014 in the scientific field of Trade and Tourism. Her research primarily focuses on sustainable tourism development and various models for measuring sustainability within destinations. She also researches community-based tourism development, climate adaptation of destinations, overtourism, and sports management in tourism. She has participated in scientific projects funded by the University of Zagreb Research Fund and Leeds Beckett University (UK). She was the EFZG-level project leader of the Erasmus+ project on accessible tourism development (ACCESSIBLE), and is currently the project leader of an institutional research project entitled Impact of Climate Change on Tourism Destinations: Assessing Vulnerability and Defining Adaptation Strategies - KlimaPriPro. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the interdisciplinary scientific journal Acta Turistica (indexed in Scopus and WoS databases). She publishes scientific articles and book chapters on topics closely related to the challenges of sustainable tourism development and teaches several courses at all levels of study. She is a member of EASE (European Association of Science Editors).
