Biography
Career overview
Katarina Ćurko was born in Zagreb, where she completed primary and secondary school. In 1987, she graduated at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zagreb. In 1991, she received her master's degree at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zagreb, majoring in Organization and Management, on the topic "Computer-supported business decision-making model based on the balance sheet and income statement". In 1997, she received her doctorate at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zagreb on the topic "Model of an information system to support managers in retail".
In the period from 1987 to 1989, she worked in the ERC of the company Geotehnika in Zagreb. From 1989 until today, he has been working continuously at the Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb, Department of Informatics.   She has published over 50 scientific and professional papers in the field of informatics and several chapters in peer-reviewed domestic books in the field of informatics. She participated in several national and international scientific and professional conferences where she had papers.
 
Research areas
Scientific focus: business information systems, modeling databases and data warehouses, business intelligence, business analytics and Big Data.
