Biography
Career overview:
Jelena Tadić Cegnar is assistant at the Department of Business Law at the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Zagreb from July 2024. She graduated from the Faculty of Law in Zagreb in 2019. During her studies she spent one semester abroad as Erasmus exchange student at the Faculty of Law, Universidad de Autonoma, Madrid, Spain. After her studies she joined Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs during first Croatian Presidency over the Council of the EU. After Croatian presidency, she shortly worked in the UN Division at the Ministry. From January 2021 until July 2024 she worked at the Faculty of Law of the University in Zagreb as acting Head of the International Relations Office working on all activities related to internalization and projects. She received Deans award for her special contribution to the Faculty in 2023. Assistant Jelena fluently speaks Croatian, English and Spanish language.

External activity:
At the moment assistant Tadić Cegnar is member of organizing committee of international scientific Jean Monnet Conference EUsolis which will take place at Faculty of Economics and Business in December 2024. She is also member of the team working on project Academy for Women entrepreneurs in Croatia, financed by the US embassy and coordinated by the Faculty of Economics and Business, Zagreb, 2024-2025. During her previous job experience in higher education system, she participated twice in Erasmus staff mobility programmes, during International Staff week at Faculty of Law, University of Deusto, Bilbao, Spain in 2023 and as visiting staff at Faculty of Law in Madrid, Complutense University, Spain in 2022. Also, she had opportunity twice to participate in biggest European fair for higher education, in Rotterdam 2023 and in Barcelona 2022. She was elected by Croatian national Agency for mobilities and EU programmes to participate in training on Erasmus BIP programmes in Timisoara, Romania, 2013. She received Dean's award for her special contribution to the work of the Faculty in 2023.
