I am a full professor of economics at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Zagreb.
My primary research fields are macroeconomics, transition economics and urban economics, and my research focuses on idiosyncrasies of transition economies. I am interested in how peculiarities of transition economies impacts our understanding of economic models and theories. Most of my research has been directed towards international macroeconomics, public debt, growth econometrics, functioning of real estate markets and spatial economics in general in the transition countries.

I received my PhD in economics from University of Zagreb in 2005. I received my MA in economics from University of Zagreb in 2002, and my BA in finance in 1999. As a Fulbright scholar I have also held visiting researcher position at the University of Pittsburgh in 2004/05.
I am a member of the main board of the Croatian Economic Association and the Editor of the CEA's journal Ekonomski pregled. In the Croatian Review of Economic, Business and Social Statistics and Contemporary Economics I am member of the editorial board. At the moment I am member of the reserach group DART at the University of Bentley, Boston, USA.

I am teaching Advanced macroeconomics, Macroeconomic analysis and Urban economics and real estate market at the Faculty of Economics, Unviersity of Zagreb. At the University of Rijeka I am teching Applied Econometrics and at the University of Dubrovnik I am teaching Selected Topics in Macroeconomics at the Ph.D. programe.
