Objectives

 The objectives of Master study Managerial Informatics are:

  • to provide students with a solid understanding of modern business environment by offering high quality business and economics education in small groups (up to 20 students) using modern teaching methods, 
  • to develop students’ intellectual competencies by implementing critical concepts and tools necessary for achieving leadership and organizational objectives - be they involved in processes, projects or people, 
  • to foster students’ personal capacities by developing and strengthening their analytical skills, critical thinking competences, creative minds and various emotional intelligence skills such as self-awareness, self-confidence, collaboration, motivation and teamwork, 
  • to enable personal growth by equipping students with competences that enable them to engage in life-long education and to contribute to the society they live in.

Upon successful completion of the Master study Managerial Informatics, students will have learned to:

  • Think globally from the very beginning and to examine each single issue both in itself and as a component of a much wider picture with interaction as the keyword.
  • Implement critical concepts and tools that are relevant to achieve leadership and organizational objectives and goals, whether they involve processes, projects or people.
  • Apply the concepts and tools to various situations; in effect, each participant will make the intellectual connections between tools and context that lead to insight, and vision: the basis for effective decision making.
  • Develop and strengthen various emotional intelligence skills such as self-confidence, collaboration, and teamwork, and thus to better negotiate the potential complexities in organizations.
  • Focus on advancing the strategic objectives of the organization, emphasizing application of theory in practice and identifying effective action.
  • Synthesize, analyze and integrate their knowledge from across the organization and use this knowledge to provide innovative and credible solutions that provide an immediate return on investment.
  • Lead and make rapid, high-level business decisions, adopt a global perspective, and expand their network through working with innovative programme and high caliber colleagues.
  • Use quantitative skills necessary for analyzing a firm's quantifiable numerical data and make intelligent and effective decisions.
  • Display the skills and the knowledge set necessary to ethically manage today's business operations for productivity and performance.
  • Evaluate the structural and cultural challenges that confront international managers and identify key attributes of successful professionals. The significance of corporate culture especially local labour and management relations, on the design and effectiveness of multinational organizations is increasingly pertinent in sustaining profitability.

Additionally, instruction in the English language offers the students an opportunity to:

  • Embrace the socio-cultural contexts in which global business is conducted. 
  • Develop and apply intercultural understanding in the workplace and internationally. 
  • Update their knowledge and information by continuously following the developments of the global business worldwide in order to promptly react to them.
  •  Recognise the importance of sustainability and internationalisation in the global environment.
