Trade Perspectives 2018: Contemporary Aspects and Role of International Trade

The Department of Trade and International Business of the Faculty of Economics and Business in Zagreb in cooperation with the Croatian Chamber of Commerce organizes the 9th International Scientific Conference "Trade Perspectives 2018: Contemporary aspects and role of international trade", which will be held on 28-29 November 2018 at the Faculty of Economics .

The conference will bring together over 100 leading Central and Eastern European (CEE) researchers who are studying international business, issues of international trade, challenges of internationalization, e-commerce, transport, logistics and supply chain management.

The purpose of this two-day Conference is to analyze the speed of change in international trade together with its role in economic development. The issue of international trade is particularly present especially because of the current strained relations among the world's largest economies, with implications of these relations being the concern of all other countries. International trade is the backbone of a globalization process that in some way affects all segments of life and business in every state. Adequately supported by development policies and appropriate infrastructure, international trade, as a rule, prompt economic growth, but it also allows for the establishment of sufficient flexibility of the economy as well as rapid adaptation in case of possible economic shocks.

The conference will be opened by a lecture "The Role of Distributors in International Trade" by Mr. Stjepan Roglić, Member of the Management Board for Orbico Group Finance. A methodological seminar "Models and Techniques of Econometric Analysis for Scientific Research" will be held as part of the Conference.
