SmartX-card – student card

All Croatian higher education students recieve a Smart X-Card student card (croatian pronunciation [ixica]) upon their enrolment.

Smart X-card functions
The SmartX-card has several functions:
  • it serves as a Student Identification Document which contains your student number JMBAG (cro. Jedinstveni Matični Broj Akademskog Građana, engl. Academic Citizen Unique ID Number),
  • it can be used for eating government subsidized meals at Student cafeterias all over Croatia,
  • it will soon become a substitute for the Indeks document and will have various functionalities (all students will be notified about the new functionalities as they become introduced).
Borrowing your SmartX-card to other students is not allowed.

Places to eat
At the FEB there are two restaurants where you can use your SmartX-card:

  • KEFA - offeres fast food (e.g. pizza, hamburgers, sendwiches, hot-dogs, yogurts, deserts) all day long and meals like chicken and turkey fillets and salads in the afternoon hours. You should first pay the meal to the cashier and then pick it up with the invoice.
  • LINIJA - is a self-service restaurant which offeres six different menus a day, including one vegetarian (soup, main dish, salad and dessert). You should pick up the food you like, put it on a tray and than pay on your way out of the restaurant after you are finished eating.

For all available places to eat with your SmartX-card in Croatia, please refer to this link (list of restaurants and their addresses in Croatian).

You can check your SmartX-card balance on this link (in Croatian) where you'll need to log in using your AAI@EduHR user data.
