The book is a university textbook primarily intended for students of the Faculty of Economics, and especially those at the Faculty of Economics for their successful completion of the course "Statistical Methods for Business Management" and to acquire skills of using the computer program R. To other interested parties it may serve as a source of ideas for solving business cases through the implementation of a methodological approach in decision making and management, and the use of software and the correct interpretation of the results.
The book, using real cases from business practices presents the application of statistical methods of decision making under conditions of risk and uncertainty, forecasting, portfolio management, inventory management, quality control, and application of Markovljev's analysis in business decision making. Examples are solved by using R, a detailed interpretation of computer syntax to understand the method and its correct use. Since R is a universal program with a wide range of applications, this book can be used by anyone whose area of interest requires a certain form of mathematical or statistical analysis.
