Round Table "It pays to know!" will be held on April 28th 2016 at 13 am in Hall 3 at the FEB

Participating at the round table are Boris Vujčić, Governor of the Croatian National Bank, Boris Jokić, head of curriculum reform, Ivana Jakir Bajo, Deputy Minister of Finance and the Treasurer General, a representative of the Ministry of Science, Education and Sport, Slaven Đuroković, board member and partner of Ernst & Young Ltd., Tomislav Ćorić, assistant professor in the Department of Finance at the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb. 
The round table will be held under the auspices of the Croatian President.
 
The participants will comment on its past activities for the financial literacy of young people and the conditions for sustained financial education of young people through the curriculum of civic education in the Republic of Croatia.

The guests will be welcomed by the Dean of the University of Zagreb Ph.D. Lajos Zager and Marko Juričić, adviser of the President for the economy. The attendance list includes Prof. Marijana Ivanov and Davor Kršul, director of Visa Europe Croatia.
 
The "It pays to know" project is organized in accordance to the celebration of the month of financial literacy, and with the aim of spreading and promoting financial literacy among citizens, especially young people. The project will take place on April the 25th to the 28th 2016 at the Faculty of Economics, and includes workshops for high school students, workshops for citizens, the debate and the round table on which to discuss the importance of financial literacy in modern society and needs to include financial education in the curriculum of secondary schools.

What are the challenges of financial education in the modern digital age and what are the expected trends in the financial world in the next few years? What educational activities of all stakeholders - public, private and civil sectors of Croatian society - are the most effective for educating generations of consumers that are to come? The participants comment on its past activities, the financial literacy of young people and the conditions for sustained financial education of youth through the curriculum of civic education in the Republic of Croatia.
