The Economic Council of the President of the Republic of Croatia has been founded

The President of the Republic Zoran Milanović passed the Decision on the setting up of the Economic Council of the President of the Republic of Croatia. Assistant Professor Velibor Mačkić, Ph.D., Special Adviser to the President of the Republic of Croatia for the Economy was appointed Chairman of the Council.
As the members of the Council are appointed Prof. Đula Borozan, Ph.D. (Faculty of Economics Osijek), Prof. Boris Cota, Ph.D. (Faculty of Economics & Business, Zagreb), Associate Professor Bruno Ćorić,  Ph.D. (Faculty of Economics, Split), Associate Professor Saša Drezgić, Ph.D. (Faculty of Economics Rijeka), Assistant Professor Ana Grdović Gnip, Ph.D. (Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies, University of Primorska Koper), Associate Professor Tomislav Hernaus, Ph.D. (Faculty of Economics & Business, Zagreb), Mr. Mario Holzner (Vienna Institute for International Economic Relations - WIIW), Assistant Professor Igor Matutinović, Ph.D. (Sheffield Business School), Associate Professor Vinko Muštra, Ph.D. (Faculty of Economics Split), Ms. Marina Tkalec, Ph.D. (Institute of Economics Zagreb) and Ms. Iva Tomić, Ph.D. (Croatian Employers' Association Zagreb). 
The Economic Council of the President of the Republic will conduct expert discussions and provide opinions on issues in the field of economic policy, in order to prepare appropriate strategic bases as well as to prepare an analysis of long-term trends and the structure of the Croatian economy.
