Biography
Dr Nikolina Dragičević is a postdoctoral researcher working on the Croatian Science Foundation research project entitled "Multilevel configurations of organizational design: understanding the duality between heterogeneity and homogeneity" under the mentorship of Prof Tomislav Hernaus.
Nikolina holds a PhD in service innovation from the Knowledge Management and Innovation Research Center at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU, 75th on the QS World University Rankings) which she obtained under the mentorship of Prof WB Lee, Prof Eric Tsui and Prof Eng Chew. At PolyU, she also gained four years of professional experience in teaching and coordinating higher education projects that have received multiple international awards (details can be found in the Curriculum Vitae).
Her doctoral research focused on applying theories of practice and design thinking to modelling and enhancing smart services. She used both qualitative and quantitative research methods and particularly gained expertise in the application of mix-method and design-based research. The project focused on understanding and solving problems in Hong Kong companies and involved collaboration with different stakeholders, thus giving the doctorate an increased empirical value.
Her research interests, in addition to service innovation, include design thinking, knowledge management in the 4th Industrial Revolution, innovative learning methods, business process management, and organizational design. She is particularly passionate about promoting a human-centred approach to innovation and (digital)work in business and educational contexts.
