TITLE: The relationship between level of education, organizational commitment and job satisfaction: an analysis in hotel establishments in Andalusia (Spain)
ABSTRACT:  The increasing necessity of adaptation to the new scenery of tourism in the world considers the human capital as an essential and differentiating element, capable of introducing durable competitive advantages. But not all employees are capable of generating skills and resources that may result in organizational productivity. Only qualified Human Resources, identified and committed to the company policy, are a part of the organization’s competences. Therefore, elements like the worker's job satisfaction or the organizational commitment are two fundamental variables that need to be analyzed for the measurement and correct management of the company’s human capital. Furthermore, the importance that the value of the workers’ education presents towards competitiveness in tourism is highlighted since it is assumed that staff education is directly related to the quality of tourist service. In numerous studies, connection between education level, career satisfaction and organization commitment has been proved. Besides, a positive relation between education level, satisfaction and commitment is acknowledged in customer orientation. Thereby, in tourism, understanding the interdependence between these variables is capital, since we are dealing with an industry whose main competitiveness sign is to achieve an adequate customer service. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the relationship among educational level, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment of the employees of the hotel establishments in Andalusia (Spain), a destination of undeniable competitive significance in tourism. Evident differences were found among the level of education of workers, so the results have to encourage the human resources management to identify, maintain, and develop the resources and potential capabilities of their human capital.

NASLOV: Povezanost stupnja obrazovanja, predanosti tvrtki i zadovoljstva zaposlenika: analiza hotelskih kuća u Andaluziji (Španjolska)

This is a highly complex process that involves many stakeholders, different specialities, a lot of phases and it lasts a long time. Furthermore, there is always a conflict between the interests of private investors and public interest. Therefore, the paper identifies the necessity to establish the efficient coordination between all the stakeholders and activities within the process. Management practice of investment and development projects in Croatia’s hotel industry are examined. An empirical survey which was carried out on the sample of the leading hospitality companies in Croatia has proven the necessity to establish the companies specialized in managing investment processes in the hotel industry. Furthermore, the paper analyses the development of tourism and hotel industries in accordance with the sustainability principles, and points out the necessity to respect the legal framework and spatial planning standards which are determined by the public sector.

NASLOV: Planiranje i razvoj investicijskih projekata u hotelijerstvu u Hrvatskoj
Autori identificiraju ciljeve, faze i sudionike procesa planiranja i razvoja investicijskih projekata u hotelijerstvu.

TITLE:  Key aspects of managing successful wine tourism development in times of global economic crisis – a case of Croatia
ABSTRACT: Wine tourism seems to be an increasingly significant component of many wine regions around the world, especially in Europe which represents the most visited tourist region of the world. Wine tourism is widely recognized as a unique tourism product for visitors who are seeking authentic multi-dimensional experience, but at the same time it represents an innovative business opportunity for small-scale wine producers who wish to expand their wine production and meet the international demand. The main aim of the paper is to discuss wine tourism as an option for sustainable rural development that may serve to generate additional economic benefits for small rural communities. The case study method was used to investigate the present state and the prospects for wine tourism development in the continental part of Croatia that receives no benefits from mass tourism. The findings have shown that that region features excellent conditions for growing grapes and wine production, but lacks tourism infrastructure and collaboration between the stakeholders as well as the expertise on tourism development – all of which reduce the opportunities for more intensive development. For these reasons and because of the ubiquitous economic crisis, the authors suggest several recommendations of which the most important may be to implement a clustering model grouping the stakeholders involved in the wine tourism product.

NASLOV: Ključni aspekti uspjeha u upravljanju razvojem enofilskog turizma u uvjetima svjetske gospodarske krize – slučaj Hrvatske
