2013 Taiwan Research Visiting Scholar Grant Program

The 2013 Taiwan Research Visiting Scholar Grant Program is funded by Education division, Taipei Economics and Cultural Office in Vienna aiming at promoting independent or collaborative research on Taiwan-related topics by inviting international academics to visit and conduct field research in Taiwan.
 
Grant:
The grant budget will cover an Economy class air fare ticket for a round trip between Zagreb and Taipei by the most direct route. Cost of living in Taiwan, travel insurance and other expenses shall be supported by the researcher. The grant can be taken by the researcher from November 1st, 2013 through to December 20, 2013.
 
Fields of research:
  • Taiwan studies (including political and security issues as well as medicine, social sciences, humanities, natural sciences and technology)
  • Economic and political relations between Croatia and Taiwan
  • Other issues regarding cooperation and exchange between Croatia and Taiwan in cultural, scientific and educational fields
 
Qualifications of applicant:
  • Croatian citizen (applicant of Taiwanese or Chinese descent do not qualify for this scholarship)
  • Lecturer / researcher / staff at university or other academic institution with PhD Degree
  • Good command of English

- A letter of invitation of the Taiwanese host (academic institution or university department)
