The Debating Club of the Faculty of Economics & Business in Zagreb for the fourth year in a row organizes The School of Oratory, a multi-award winning project by the University of Zagreb, which gains more and more from year to year and brings together an increasing number of participants.
The School of Oratory will be held October 12 to 14, 2018 in Crikvenica.
The aim is to prepare students for better quality business and everyday communication, how to release the fear of public performance, how to independently and convincingly present and understand and critically evaluate the information they receive.
The learning outcomes are related to the acquisition of basic theoretical and practical knowledge of communication, public performance and speech. Participants are provided with the possibility of critical information observation and subsequently arguing the presentation and application of acquired knowledge. Additionally, emphasis has been placed on recognizing the elements of high-quality communication, as well as traps that are ubiquitous.
In addition to the lectures and workshops, the school program also hosted thematic gatherings with the aim of mutual acquaintance of students and exchange of experiences.
