The Brown Forum Follow Up

The Brown Forum Follow Up will take place on Thursday 26th of May at the Faculty of Economics and Business (Hall 7) from noon to 2 p.m. 
Two prominent speakers will take the floor on the topic of U.S. & Southeast European Trade and Investment:  
12:00h Mr. Gavin M. Susman: "The American perspective on investing in Croatia" 
This lecture should not be missed. Mr. Susman is the founding investor and former Chairman of Iskon Internet, the founder of Sanoma Magazines Zagreb (which include publications such as Klik), owner and board member of www.net.hr. He has had a truly interesting career path while investing in Croatia, and is known as a very charismatic individual.

  "How to Improve the Investment Climate and U.S. Economic Ties to Southeast Europe" 
If you have ever wondered, and you must have, why Montenegro has been ranked 55th on based on the Global Competitiveness Index, while Croatia falls more than 20 places behind, at 77th rank, Mr. Derek Westfall's lecture is the right place to be. Assessing the existing investment climate, Mr. Westfall, as the Economic Counselor at the US Embassy, will be able to use his expertise to point out the factors that will drive the climate towards improvement.
