Biography
Lucija Mihotić is a distinguished Teaching and Research Assistant at the Department of Marketing, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Zagreb. Her academic journey began with her graduation from high school in Zagreb, followed by the successful completion of the Undergraduate Study of Business and Administration and the Graduate Study of Marketing at the FEB Zagreb. Lucija's dedication to academic excellence was evident as she actively engaged in parallel programs that enriched her knowledge and experience.
 
One of her notable achievements was completing the prestigious JOSZEF program, a highly regarded one-year scholarship program conducted in both German and English. The program was specifically designed in collaboration with Austrian corporate partners and aimed to nurture and support top students from the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region. As a testament to her dedication and capabilities, Lucija also secured an internship opportunity at AluKoenigStahl, one of the oldest and esteemed Austrian family businesses, further enriching her practical experiences and understanding of the business world.
 
Moreover, Lucija demonstrated her academic prowess by successfully graduating from the Master Class CEE, an esteemed and practice-oriented complementary study program catering to high-achieving CEE management students. This program, hosted at the renowned WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business), further honed her expertise in management, positioning her as a promising scholar and professional in the dynamic CEE region.
 
Lucija's passion for international exposure and research led her to participate in various exchange programs, including summer schools, research, and debate programs, through CEEPUS, Erasmus, and other initiatives. She had the privilege of studying at prominent institutions such as the University of Regensburg, University of Pecs, and Loyola University in Chicago.
 
During her studies, Lucija actively contributed to the academic community as a tutor at the Department of Marketing and as a volunteer in the Office for International Cooperation. Her outstanding performance was recognized with the prestigious Dean's Award for her master's thesis.
 
Before joining the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb, Lucija gained invaluable practical experience in Vienna, working in diverse industries such as conference and event management, global mobility consulting, and international tax consulting at PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) Austria. Her expertise was further validated with a certified tax manager diploma from the Austrian Controller Institute.
 
Currently, Lucija is pursuing her doctoral degree at the WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business). During her academic journey, she spent a term as a visiting research fellow on the VIRS (Visiting International Research Student) program at the prestigious R1 institution, the Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Additionally, she was selected as the only candidate from Croatia for a prestigious one-year doctoral fellowship at the University of Alberta, Canada.
 
Lucija's active involvement in international and national scientific organizations, including EGOS (European Group for Organizational Studies), IFERA (International Family Enterprise Research Association), and CROMAR (Croatian Marketing Association), reflects her dedication to research and academic pursuits. Her valuable contributions to these organizations include regular presentations of her work and serving as a reviewer.
 
Among her notable academic accomplishments, Lucija has been a recipient of various grants and scholarships, including the prestigious Konrad Adenauer Stiftung scholarship, where she continues to actively participate as an alumna.
 
Lucija's proficiency in English and German languages, as well as her knowledge of Spanish and Chinese, exemplify her commitment to language learning and global communication.
 
At the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb, Lucija shares her expertise with enthusiasm by teaching courses such as Principles of Marketing, Marketing Management, and Business to Business Marketing to both Croatian and international students at the Undergraduate and Graduate levels. Her dedication to teaching and research make her an invaluable asset to the academic community.
