Biography

Prof. dr. sc. Hana Horak. Curriculum vitae (Europass, EN)

Professor Hana Horak, PhD. is tenured professor of commercial and company law at Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb. She is coordinator of Tempus Project 544117 InterEULawEast and Jean Monnet Chair holder.
 
She earned her B. Sc. and M. Sc. diplomas at Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb and her Ph.D diploma at Faculty of Law, University of Split. 

She teaches courses in Commercial and Company law, European Company Law, EU Internal Market Law, Corporate Governance, Law of International Trade.

For number of years she is head of Specialized Master Study Programme “Legal and Economic Framework of Doing Business in the EU” where she teaches courses European Company Law, European Bussines Law and E commerce.

Currently holds a membership in several national and international professional associations: European Law Institute (ELI) academic fellow and Member of Special Interest Group (SIG) for European Law and Banking and Financial Law, European Confederation of Directors' Associations (EcoDa), Member of the Benchmark and Policy Committee, European Association of Law and Economics (EALE), European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI), Croatian Institute of Directors (CID), President of the Court of Honour etc. She is also ad personam partner of Jean Monnet Inter-University Centre of Excellence, Opatija, Croatia. Professor Horak is arbitrator on the List of arbitrators before Permanent Court of Arbitration, Croatian Chamber of Economy;  Member of ICC Commission on Commercial Law and Practise and ICC Commission on Corporate Responsibility and Anti-Corruption; Member of the National Consumer Council, Croatian Ministry of Economy; Member of Committee for Statute-related Issues, University of Zagreb. She is author and coauthor of several books, chapters in books, many scientific and professional articles in the field of commercial and company law, consumer law, EU law, health law, labour law and corporate governance.
 
She regularly attends both national and international conferences, advance courses and workshops. Guest lecturer at University of Sarajevo, University of Lorraine, University of Rijeka, Voronezh State University. Researcher at T.M.C Asser Institute (Netherlands) and Max Planck Institute (Germany). She acts as editor and reviewer in several scientific and professional journals.
