Research: HOW IS IT TO STUDY IN CROATIA?

In Croatia a research named EUROSTUDENT VI has began and touches upon the quality of student life and the economic conditions of studying in Croatia.

EUROSTUDENT is an international project (https://www.eurostudent.eu) that is carried out in 37 European countries and provides empirical data on the quality of student standards at national and European level.

EUROSTUDENT VI is the third in a series of researches conducted in Croatia. The research will be carried out during the period the 6th-30th of April, 2016 via web surveys on a representative sample of 36,000 students who are currently studying at one of the universities in the Republic of Croatia.

Your participation is completely voluntary and the web poll can be accessed:

1) via a link that you will receieve via e-mail address or

2) through the authorization on the website of the research: www.eurostudent.hr.

The survey can be accessed using your AAI electronic identity.

Since students often use multiple e-mail addresses, and e-mail addresses that link higher education institutions are not always up to date, please enter your survey via the web links.

Please fill out the surveys and describe what is the quality of life of students at your institution and the city where you study, and pictures and descriptions of the wider add more information about the topics in the questionnaire on the Facebook page of the project. Parts of the visual and textual material will be used in the shaping of the National Report on the quality of life of students who, through the analysis of the survey results show the current situation in Croatia.

Pay special attention to all the questions because each has a function to describe the living conditions of students (eg. table of financing sources and costs during studying will be used amongst others for analysing what percentage of scholarships cover the cost of the study).

All information on the study can be followed on the Facebook page: www.facebook.com/EUROSTUDENT6HR.

Results of previous EUROSTUDENT research in many countries serve as an incentive for the development and improvement of public policies in higher education. In Croatia, the current EUROSTUDENT give information on the Strategy of Education, Science and Technology of the Republic of Croatian and the establishment of the National Group for the improvement of the social dimension of higher education at the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, and the preparation of the document dealing with unequal study opportunities for young people from different social groups.

We invite you to share with us your opinion about studying in Croatia and contribute to the promotion of positive change in accordance with the needs of students.
