7th Zagreb Energy Week

For the seventh consecutive year, the City Office for Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development of the City of Zagreb is organizing the Zagreb Energy Week. The event will take place from 9th to 14th May 2016 under the auspices of the Mayor, Milan Bandić. The University of Zagreb with its faculties: Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, and the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering, is once again a partner of this very special event.

The rich program will begin on May 9 by holding a professional conference of students called “We have solutions - Visions of a new generation of sustainable, green development” at 9 am at the Old City Hall in Zagreb (Ulica Ćirila i Metoda 6). The event will bring together many experts, research novices, students, as well as all interested public with a goal to encourage younger generations to think and participate in the promotion and implementation of energy efficient concepts and projects from all technical professions.
Zagreb Energy Week is a mosaic of events with an aim of involving and the networking of all generations and stakeholders in the lengthy process of combating climate change. Through the message “We do not want development to stop, but pollution, we can!” all are called to work together in implementing projects of sustainable urban development and the preservation of natural resources for future generations. The week will be marked by a series of international conferences, professional meetings, open doors, seminars, lectures and workshops that address key topics in the field of energy and environmental protection.
