The markets are volatile and financial resources for business and government are scarce. Following a substantial contraction in GDP, weakness in economic activity is expected to persist over the coming quarters as the structural imbalances and financial market tensions continue. Rapid changes in business, government and social environment cause extensive restructuring of national economies. However, the history has shown that crises produce challenges and opportunities. The downturn creates broad opportunities for winners and losers just like the boom.

Managing crises requires commitment, knowledge and skills how to handle problems successfully at government and business levels.

All abstracts and final papers will be blind refereed by at least two reviewers.
Extended abstracts will be published in the Conference Proceedings. CD-ROM with final papers will be distributed among the participants at the Conference (both infer an ISBN reference). Selected papers will be considered for publication in a separate volume of journals Acta Turistica and Zagreb International Review of Economics and Business (ZIREB).
