After two successful screenings of the film, the Economic Clinic Association continues its work and will present you with the third screening of the film, which will take place on January 23, 2020, starting at 6 pm in Hall 3 of the Faculty of Economics & Business in Zagreb. This time we would like to bring closer to the audience the topic of sports management and the application of statistical methods in sport.
Admission is free and without charge for all students, regardless of which faculty they come from. The screening of the film will be preceded by an interesting speaker with extensive knowledge and experience in the subject of the film and the screening of the movie Moneyball. The film is based on the true story of legendary sports manager Billy Beaneu, who, as general manager of the Oakland Athletics baseball club, faces the problem of forming a new team with limited financial options. With the help of a young economic expert, he decides for the first time to apply certain statistical methods to the selection of players that ultimately prove successful.
In addition to film screenings and a guest lecture, students will be offered free popcorn, drinks, a painting corner, and surprise gifts.
