The Rector's Award ceremony was held on July 6, 2018 at the Faculty of Economics. The Rector's Award Committee reviewed the student papers proposed by the constituents of the University of Zagreb and selected a total of 172 papers in five categories: 112 papers in the category of individual scientific and artistic work (one or two authors), 31 in the category for team scientific and artistic (three to ten authors), 3 in the category of "big" team-based scientific and artistic work (more than ten authors), 3 in the category for special competitive achievements of individuals or teams and 23 in the category for socially beneficial work in academia and the wider community .
Along the ceremony was organized an exhibition of the posters of works of the Rector's Award winners.
