Assistant Professor Ivan Tot elected as Co-Chair of the European Law Institute Croatian Hub

In May 2020, Assistant Professor Ivan Tot was elected as one of the Co-Chairs of the European Law Institute Croatian Hub (ELI Croatian Hub).

European Law Institute (ELI) is an independent non-profit organisation established in 2011 to initiate, conduct and facilitate research, make recommendations and provide practical guidance in the field of European legal development. ELI Hubs are country specific groups, which have been established for ELI Members to facilitate discussion, share and monitor legal developments, and are of fundamental importance to ELI’s success. Croatian Hub was launched in 2014 as the seventh regional ELI Hub.

Besides Assistant Professor Tot, the newly elected Co-Chairs of the ELI Croatian Hub are Zoran Hačić, attorney-at-law; Hrvoje Pauković, director of the Croatian Insurance Bureau; and Emilia Mišćenić, Associate Professor at the University of Rijeka, Faculty of Law. The four new ELI Croatian Hub Co-Chairs will coordinate Hub's activities jointly, with Ivan Tot taking on a primary role of liaising with the ELI's statutory bodies.

The Advisory Board of the ELI Croatian Hub was also established. From the Department of Law at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Economics and Business, Professor Hana Horak and Professor Zvonimir Slakoper were appointed to the Advisory Board. The members of the Advisory Bord are also Professor Tatjana Josipović from the Zagreb Faculty of Law, and Professor Edita Čulinović Herc from the Rijeka Faculty of Law.
